“
IE6 is the new Netscape 4. The hacks needed
to support IE6 are increasingly viewed as excess
freight. Like Netscape 4 in 2000, IE6 is
perceived to be holding back the web.”
Jeff Zeldman, standards guru
The premise is simple: Internet Explorer 6 is
antiquated, doesn’t support key web standards,
and should be phased out. This isn’t about being
anti-Microsoft, it’s about Microsoft’s lack of
development in the browser market.

Squeeze 4.2 with ExtraContent areas is
almost ready for release.
For current owners this will be a free update.
4.2 incorporates four ExtraContent areas and two
in a new and unique way! I have also added some
color picker variations for these EC areas.
Also added are Border Styles in the Variations
Panel, updated IE6 and IE7 support especially for
PNG images.
I have a few tutorials to create in my screen
casting mode as well as packaging up the files.
Watch for this over the weekend.

It's finally happened. I have opened up the
master file for RWCSS and working on an update.
It's amazing, but after a year and a half the
book is 98% relevant. The first thing I am
working on is reformatting the book to make it
easier to copy and paste the css and html out of
the pages directly instead of looking for it in
the css document included with the book.
I also have a few things I want to add the book.
As they make it into the book I will post here
about them. I don't want to state what they are
just in case some don't make the cut.
So stay tuned for more information soon.
